Our privacy promise

Valo Sign does not upload or inspect the content of PDFs you open, the information you type into them, or signatures you create. Document processing and export happen in your browser. If you save a signature or initials, that image stays in this browser until you explicitly remove it.

Information processed on your device

• The source PDF, form values, freeform additions, and signature assets.
• Temporary canvas, image, font, and export buffers needed to render and create your PDF.
• The current PDF editing session, which is discarded when you refresh, close the tab, start over, or the browser removes it from memory.
• A saved signature or initials image in local browser storage. It is reused across PDF sessions on this browser until you remove or replace it.

Information used to deliver the website

Like any website, the hosting and network providers that deliver Valo Sign may process limited connection information such as an IP address, request time, browser headers, and security logs.

Optional Google Analytics

If you select Accept analytics, Valo Sign loads Google Analytics 4. Google may receive the page path without query parameters, referral source, visit time, broad location derived from an IP address, and general browser, device, and interaction information needed to produce audience and acquisition reports. Enhanced measurement, Google signals, advertising storage, ad personalisation, and advertising user-data collection are disabled.

Analytics is not loaded before consent. If you decline, no Google Analytics request is made by Valo Sign. Analytics never receives the PDF you open, its filename or contents, your form values, signature assets, or exported file. Google acts as an analytics service provider and may process consenting visitors’ analytics information outside South Africa under its applicable data-protection terms.

Purpose and legal basis

We process what is necessary to deliver and secure the website, respond to a request you send us, comply with law, protect users, and—with your consent—understand audience size and how visitors find Valo Sign. Depending on the context, the basis may be performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation, or consent.

International users and transfers

Valo Sign is based in South Africa and is available worldwide. Website-delivery providers may process limited connection data in other countries. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used. Local document processing means your PDF content is not transferred to us in the first place.

Retention and security

Valo Sign does not retain document content. A saved signature or initials remains only in your browser’s local storage until you remove or replace it; it is not sent to Valo Systems. Limited infrastructure security logs, if created by the hosting provider, are retained only as reasonably necessary for security and operations under that provider’s configured practices. Google Analytics retention is configured and administered in the Valo Sign Analytics property; Google may retain aggregate reports after user-level or event-level data is deleted.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access, correction, deletion, restriction, withdrawal of consent, or objection. Because document content and saved signatures never reach us, we cannot retrieve them from your browser. You can remove a saved signature from the signature tool and withdraw analytics consent through Privacy Settings. South African users may complain to the Information Regulator.

Future advertising

There is no advertising or ad tracking today. Before introducing ads, we will update this policy and provide notice and consent controls where required. Ads will not receive or inspect your PDF content, form values, or signatures.

Privacy boundary

We cannot protect information from browser extensions, compromised devices, browser or operating-system crash dumps, memory swapping, software you install, or files you choose to download and share.
