PDF signing guide
How to Sign a PDF Online for Free
You do not need to print, scan, email, or upload a document to add a visible signature to a PDF. Valo Sign runs in your browser and keeps the working file on your device.
Sign your PDF in three steps
- Choose the PDF
Open Valo Sign and select the PDF from your device. The app checks and reads it locally; it is not sent to Valo Systems.
- Fill in and sign
Complete supported form fields or place text, dates, checkmarks, initials, and a drawn, typed, or uploaded signature where they belong.
- Review and download
Check every page and export a new PDF. The download has no Valo Sign watermark or branding.
Before you sign
- Confirm that the recipient accepts a visible electronic signature and does not require a certified or advanced electronic signature.
- Keep the original PDF until the completed copy has been accepted.
- Review names, dates, amounts, tick boxes, and every signature block before exporting.
- If the PDF already contains a cryptographic digital signature, editing it will normally invalidate that existing signature.
What stays private
The document, entered form values, and signature assets stay in the active browser session. Valo Sign does not create an account, save a cloud draft, or retain a copy after you reload or close the tab.
This boundary cannot protect against a compromised device, browser extensions, operating-system crash records, or software installed by the user. Use a device you trust for sensitive documents.
